About the idea...
It all started as I was trying to stuff all our gear, including the family, into our SUV for a summer camping vacation. Outside of vacations, I always needed a better way to carry my bicycles and snowboards. Roof racks on an SUV are difficult to mount and work with up so high. Also, more than occasionally I could use more space for hauling gear on business excursions or when the whole family comes along, making inside passenger space a premium. I considered buying a small, light-duty, tow-behind trailer that was enclosed from the elements and low enough to easily mount, load and unload my bikes and boards. However, I found most conventional enclosed trailers to be too bulky, heavy, tall and/or awkward to handle easily – and most require a big, gas-guzzling engine and drive train. In my case, a typical trailer would be difficult to conceal on my property when not in use. I just can’t have – don’t want – a trailer sitting around on my property unused most of the time.
Sometimes you have to do it yourself.
I began looking for a small, consumer-rated unit that was low profile and super light. I was concerned with gas mileage and did not want a larger tow vehicle. Recognizing the storage issue of an unused trailer on my property, I began to think about exactly what features I really require, and then the dual use storage feature came to me.
Eureka!
Wouldn’t it be great to stand it up and use it as an outdoor storage unit when I did not need it? But better yet, cleverly design it to look good upright, add hinging, lockable doors, and design it in such a way so the trailer parts did not show. Then I could put it up against the house to store valuable items and no one would even know that it was a trailer. The trailer storage hassle would be solved and the trailer would still be available to use whenever I needed.
I discussed the idea with others and more and more the product idea made sense. So I began to assemble a few team members to develop the features that would embody the idea. The Tow-N-Stow concept was born. After many design, developments and refinements, the Tow-N-Stow product is now ready to meet your versatile needs.

“As a product designer, I vowed to resist the temptation to make products the cheapest way possible but rather make them the best way possible. This in hopes that the discriminating buyer would appreciate my efforts and embrace my product – along with its cost – thus supporting my belief that everything, including quality or lack of it, has its own price.
Thank you for considering the Tow-N-Stow convertible trailer. It is my sincere desire to provide you with the very best trade for your hard-earned money, so that it may serve you faithfully for many years to come. I have designed and built it first to meet my own needs and expectations. My goal is that it might also exceed yours.”
Sincerely,
